Founded in 1969 by Juan Figer, the Grupo Figer is today in the third generation of the family in the company. Football runs in the veins of members who honor the tradition of mediating negotiations and managing career of athletes and coaches.

With a lot of dedication, experience and ethics, they remain active in this activity that is the fuel of the Grupo Figer.

  • 1970The Grupo Figer Foundation

    On March 1, 1970, Mr. Juan Figer, founder of Grupo Figer, organized a friendly game between Flamengo and Peñarol, in Maracanã, for 76 thousand people. The result of the match was a 0-0 draw and that date marks the beginning of the Grupo Figer's activities.

  • 1970sUruguayans in Brazil

    From the 70s onwards, Juan Figer opened the market for intermediation of South American athletes in the Brazilian continent. The first athlete he brought was Pablo Forlan, from Penarol, Mr. Juan Figer's heart club, for SPFC. Soon after, he also brought Pedro Rocha from the same Uruguayan club to the same SPFC.

    In addition to both historic Uruguayan players, Juan Figer also intermediated the arrival of Héctor Silva from Penarol to Palmeiras, Elias Figueroa also from Penarol to SC Internacional, Dario Pereyra from Nacional to SPFC among other athletes.

  • 1980sThe exodus of South American players abroad

    Let us remember the 1980s with the very important intermediation of Rio de Janeiro to Spain, when we took Roberto Dinamite from Vasco da Gama to the Catalan club, Barcelona.

    At that moment, career management becomes a service demanded by athletes after the trust placed in the Grupo Figer, which performed dozens of intermediaries in the national and international market.

  • 1984Maradona - “I took Maradona from Barcelona to Napoli”:

  • 1980sDunga - Juan Figer takes Dunga to Italy:

    After SC Internacional, Dunga played for Corinthians, Santos, Vasco, Pisa (Italy), Fiorentina (Italy), Pescara (Italy), and was in Stuttgart (Germany) when he was called up again for the 1994 World Cup.

    We started working with this great defender in Guarani and accompanied him in Sporting, São Paulo FC, Real Madrid, Santos, Vasco da Gama and among other clubs until his farewell in Flamengo.

  • 1986Casagrande - From Corinthians to Porto

    Through businessman Juan Figer, he was transferred to Porto, at a time when the contribution of Brazilians to European football was not so common. Then he would still have a winning streak in Italian football, being top scorer and idol at Ascoli and Torino.

  • 1980sSocrates - Socrates' almost negotiation with Napoli

    The Brazilian was a kind of "plan B" if Diego Maradona did not sign with the Italian club. "I took care of Socrates almost going to Napoli. The Doctor was a "Plan B" if Diego Maradona didn't sign with the club. It was only a few minutes before the window was closed and Napoli managed to sign Maradona," revealed the businessman.

  • 1990sThe strength of the European market

    The 1990s are strongly marked by the decree known as Bosman, establishing that every player belonging to the European Union could play in any member country without being considered a foreigner. As the restrictions on the limit of foreign players per club were no longer attributed to these athletes, now called "community members", opportunities were created for "extra-community members", causing rapid growth in the hiring of South Americans by European institutions.

    Both athletes who stood out at São Paulo FC and had the opportunity to play in Italy. Muller in Torino and Silas in Cesena and Sampdoria.

    The midfielder started his career at Portuguesa in the early 90s, as a left-back. Transferred to Real Madrid in 1997, he had a short stint at Flamengo, on loan. Then, in 1998, he moved to Bayer Leverkusen, where he reached the runner-up in the Champions League in 2002 and where he had a great time in his career.

    In 1996, he moved from Guarani to Flamengo, where he stayed for only 3 months. In the same year, he went to Italy through the intermediation of Juan Figer. There he lived three of the best years of his career, defending Udinese.

    With intermediation carried out by Figer, the athlete Roberto Carlos, is considered by many in Spain to be the greatest left-back in Real's history. He has won La Liga four times, three Champions Leagues, three Spanish Super Cups, two Club World Cups and a European Super Cup.

    With an above average intelligence, which made him become a classic, elegant midfielder, with incredible technical skill in passing and excellent game vision. During the 2000s, the Figer Group, which managed the athlete's career since he left Parma, intermediated his negociation with Fenerbahçe, from Turkey, where he became one of the greatest idols in the history of the club, being even honored by the team with a statue in his stadium. Alex was responsible for changing some levels of Turkish football, contributing with his technique.

  • 2000'sVanderlei Luxemburgo

    Perhaps one of the most successful club-level coaches in Brazilian football of the decade. He reached the height of his career when he coached Real Madrid in 2005. The last day of contact with the Spaniards started early for Marcel Figer, one of the coach's entrepreneurs. He talked from 5 am to 6 pm with the leaders. There were more than 50 phone calls. Vanderlei had become the first Brazilian to manage the biggest club of the last century, according to FIFA.

    Lugano is an icon of the Celeste Olímpica's defensive system. The athlete made history at Morumbi and arrived at SPFC through the Grupo Figer which managed the entire career of the defender who played for Fenerbahçe, PSG, Malaga, West Bromwich, Hacken and Cerro Porteno.

  • 2000'sFilipe Luís

    Revealed by Figueirense in 2003, after a year he was transferred to Ajax, from the Netherlands. With no space at the club, his agent, Juan Figer, negotiated the athlete's loan to Real Madrid B, and then to Deportivo de La Coruña, who hired him permanently in 2008.

    Shakhtar's last Brazilian star did not travel to Donetsk just to make his name. As a thank you to the reception in Eastern Europe, the midfielder became a Ukrainian national and has already worn a national team shirt.

    He stayed in the Super League until 2015, when he arranged his loan for Atlético-MG for the 2016 season. At Galo, he played 48 games, scoring 7 goals, and always in the starting lineup. In 2017, his contract was negotiated by the Grupo Figer for Guangzhou R&F where he worked for 2 years. In 2019 he returned to Brazil where he defended Corinthians. The good performance earned him his last and current signing, going to the MLS to play for Orlando City.
